Triple Crown of March Racing
Official 2008 "Triple Crown" Races:
1ST Jewel - March 1st - Creek Classic - 5k & 10k
2ND Jewel - March 8th - Panera Beacon on the Bay - 5k & 25k
3RD Jewel - March 15th - St. Paddy's Day Great Race of the Great Plains - 8k
Entry Fee: $50.00
2008"Triple Crown" Rules/Scoring:
- You must register as a "Triple Crown" entry on SignMeUp or by mail (download here) . All Triple Crown entries will receive a special high-quality running shirt (you will not receive the three t-shirts from the individual races).
- When entering the "Triple Crown" races, be sure and enter the same age group (age on March 1st) on all three races.
- You must run and finish a "Triple Crown" race at all three of the March events. For the Creek Classic and the Panera Beacon on the Bay, you may run either distance.
- Your finishing place for your three races will be added together for your "Triple Crown" score. Points will be awarded as follows:
- 1 point for a 1st place finish
- 2 points for a 2nd place finish
- 3 points for a 3rd place finish
- The runner in each division with the lowest score is the "Triple Crown Winner" for that division.
- The St. Paddy’s Day 8k event finishing place will be used to break ties.
- "Triple Crown Winners" will be announced after the 8k awards at the St. Paddy's Day race.
- Standings will be posted on OKC Running.
